For a more traditional bite to eat, for example a tapas restaurant, your best bet for tapas would be the 'Barrio Gotico'; the gothic zone, or El Borne; the trendy Borne area. Most seafood restaurants in Barcelona are based in the port & sea area, at the Port Vell; old harbour, or Port Olimpic, the more modern olympic harbour. For a night out in a classier place the Eixample restaurants are the choice for a well dressed sophisticated crowd. That leaves bohemian Gracia, where the food is of a more international character, with its Brasilian, Cuban, Jamaican, Argentinian and obviously Catalan restaurants.
