Liechtenstein's sculpture at the port
Pop art sculpture by Roy Lichtenstein. Roy Lichtenstein was a prominent American pop artist, his work heavily influenced by both popular advertising and the comic book style. He himself described Pop Art as, "not 'American' painting but actually industrial painting”. The sculpture called “Barcelona Head” was part of the huge Barcelona’s metropolitan restyle in1992. You will find it at the end of via Laietana, a few metres from the harbour.
