  About the accommodation
The MACBA 2 is a spacious and beautiful 95m2 apartment which can sleep up to 10 people and is located in the Ciutat Vella (Old Town) of Barcelona, Spain. Only 2 minutes from Las Ramblas on foot, the location is unbeatable. You’re in the middle of the Gothic Quarter which is rich in history, starting from before the Romans invaded, and each period left its distinctive mark on the city. See evidence of the aqueduct which provided ancient Barcelona with water and the remains of the Roman walls which still stand, some hidden through narrow streets. Go to the Medieval Plaça del Rei, where Queen Isabel and King Ferdinand first learned of the “New World” from Christopher Columbus. See the Gothic Cathedral in the historic centre and the winding streets surrounding it. Today see some of the most famous contemporary architects works at the Macba (contemporary art museum) by Richard Meier, and sculptures by Frank Gehry. Cheap bars and restaurants abound in this area, with everything from inexpensive typical tapas at the Boqueria market on the bustling Las Ramblas to the newest in Catalan cuisine at Comerç 24 in the Born neighbourhood. The possibilities are endless. MACBA 2 is pleasant place to rest after a long day of pounding the pavement (or relaxing on the beach). The beautiful ceiling is a classic Catalan style with small beams and arches extending across the room. The rooms are furnished with wooden furniture, which is simple and modern in style. There are 4 bedrooms: 2 doubles, 1 with a double bed, and a second with 2 single beds, and 2 rooms with 1 single bed each. The living/dining room is large and full of light, with 2 double sofa beds, TV, table and chairs. The kitchen is at the far end of the living room and is completely reformed in wood and marble. It has all the amenities: washing machine, fridge, microwave, cooker, coffeemaker, toaster and more. The apartment has two full baths with shower.

Great location, spacious and clean and really suited for our Hen party!! we had a fab time and also found the staff to be a brilliant help.

The apartment was great! There were ten of us in total and although a little bit tight, there was still enough space for us all. The showers were fine, one much better than the other but both worked. Location was excellent, very close to la Ramblas and no problems with security at all. The only thing was the elevator did not work but we all enjoyed the exercise of three flights of stairs!

I would like to say that we used the safe in the Apartment, this was key lockable, unfortundately we did have £20 go missing from my wallet in the safe, not a large amount and difficult to prove, a clever thief. I would like to mention that one afternoon we were in the Apartment and a women walked in, we think she lives in the Apartment upstairs and probably does the cleaning. There was no need for her to be in the Apartment as it was to be cleaned on us leaving. Have you had any other customers complaining of the same think?

cheap, verry good location, shower still not working properly, broken sofa was not repaired during stay.
