  About the accommodation
The small yet chic 25m2 private studio Paralel 2 Apartment is located on Avinguda Paral•lel just around the corner from the exciting Raval area and just a short walk to Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter, Plaza Espanya, and the Olympic Stadium on Montjuïc in Barcelona, Spain. Avinguda Paral•lel has lots of tapas bars, cafes, (check out chic & cheap Basílico restaurant!). In the Raval area is the pristine white MACBA modern art museum, designed by architect Richard Meier, and the CCCB (contemporary culture centre), one of the most popular museums in the city for locals with absorbing exhibits on any number of different topics from art to society to technology and more. Also in Raval is the magnificent Liceu Opera house and the Maritime Museum which is housed in a beautiful XII century shipyard on the waiting list for inclusion in UNESCO’s world heritage sites. Raval has excellent nightlife, Ambar on Rambla de Raval is a new favourite, and Marseille is an old fave, serving up absinthe the Catalan way: douse a sugar cube in absinthe and set it on fire until it dissolves, add water, and drink. Also the nearby Poble Sec area is an up and coming neighbourhood with great, unassuming restaurants and several discreet bars, such as Rouge and Maumau. The popular Apolo club has movies on Tuesdays, rock concerts and djs on weekends. This 15m2 studio sleeps a maximum of 3 persons, 2 in one lovely bedroom with a beautiful double bed and a third person in the sofa-bed in the living room. The chic, colourful décor and new, modern furniture is designed for maximum comfort in this cosy apartment. It has a full bathroom and a kitchen with all the amenities. Right next to Paral•lel metro station take you in 3 stops to Plaza Catalunya, or up Montjuïc by the funicular. and entertainment options and is very close to Raval, a funky neighbourhood with great bars and nightlife. Important: Refundable extra 200 euros deposit is required to be returned on the check-out day if no damage to the apartment.

Habe dieses Apartment nun zum 2. mal innerhalb eines Jahres besucht. Der Vermieter ist super-nett, keinerlei Probleme mit Ankunfts- bzw. Abreisezeiten. Für ein paar Nächte eine top, zentral gelegene Unterkunft!

Das Appartment ist zentral gelegen un doch ruhig. Die Küche ist nur mit dem notwendigsten ausgestattet, für Tee und Früchte am Morgen hat es auf jeden Fall gereicht und das Sofa ist nicht sonderlich bequem zum Schlafen. Sehr netter Kontakt zum Vermieter, der sehr bemüht war.

Very well located, in the very centre. Quiet. Clean. Heater and air conditionning. Internet. Fresh water in the fridge. Perfect !

Paralel 2 Apartement: Obwohl wir erst nach Mitternacht angekommen sind, gab es keine Probleme bei der Wohnungsübergabe. Diego Bedoya war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Wohung war größer als erwartet da wir noch ein zweites Schlafzimmer zur Verfügung hatten. Die Schlafzimmer, Wohn- und Eßzimmer sind neu und in gutem Zustand. Küche und Bad sind älter aber ok. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet doch wäre es schön gewesen wenn jemand die Sauberkeit des Geschirrs kontrolliert hätte. Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral, ist leicht zu finden und in der Nähe sind Bäcker/Cafés, kleine Supermärkte und Restaurants. ********************************** Hostel Apolo: Das Gebäude in dem das Hostel ist hatte ich mir den Kritiken zu folge in einem schlimmeren Zustand vorgestellt. Meiner Meinung nach sieht das Gebäude hübsch aus, nur das Treppenhaus ist in keinem guten Zustand. Das Zimmer ist ok, im Bett hab ich gut geschlafen und im Wandschrank ist genügend Platz um alles unterzukriegen. Das Bad schien neu gemacht und ich fand es gut dass jeden Tag jemand kommt um sauber zu machen. An der Rezeption spricht nicht jeder englisch aber dennoch kommt man mit einem Mischmasch aus englisch und spanisch gut zurecht. Da die Rezeption 24h besetzt ist sieht man immer andere Leute, alle sehr freundlich. Auch diese Wohnung liegt zentral, Bäcker/Café, Supermärkte und Restaurants sind in der Nähe. Durch Veranstaltungen im gegenüberliegenden Teatro Apolo mit Casino und anliegendem Nachtclub wo offenbar auch Konzerte stattfinden kann es etwas lauter werden.
